Living Waters Prayer Garden

Text Box:       Throughout the Bible, the concepts of the quenching and cleansing qualities of water are used to symbolize God, Baptism, God’s forgiveness of our sins, the grace we receive freely through faith, and the eternal life we are promised.   The very essence of our Christian faith is illustrated in these analogies.             In honor of Jesus Christ, who constantly refreshes us with living waters, First United Methodist Church of Chula Vista has built the Living Waters Prayer Garden.   This is a beautifully landscaped outdoor area that provides a place for solitude, prayer, Bible study, fellowship, remembrance, or reflection; a place to refresh the heart and soul; a place to celebrate life in Jesus Christ.  At the heart of the garden is a waterfall representing the Living Waters of our Lord Jesus Christ and the eternal life we are promised through our faith in Him.

Join the Legacy!

Text Box:   Everyone is invited to become part of the Christian legacy of First United Methodist Church of Chula Vista by making a tax-deductible donation to the Living Waters Prayer Garden.  In return for your donation, we will inscribe a Granite Paving Tile with a message of your choosing.  Inscriptions can be in honor of Christ the Lord, our church, our families, our friends, our celebrations, our memorials, our life together.  The inscribed stones will be permanently laid into the walkway between the garden and the Sanctuary.
